Batteries: Hierarchical Porous Yolk–Shell Carbon Nanosphere for High‐Performance Lithium–Sulfur Batteries (Part. Part. Syst. Charact. 4/2017)

Abstract

Yolk-shell structured carbon nanospheres with a mesoporous yolk and a microporous shell are applied in Li-S batteries by Ji Liang, Jian Liu, and co-workers in article number 1600281. The unique carbon spheres provide effective barriers to prevent shuttle effects, resulting in high capacity, good rate performance, as well as stable cyclability.
