GNSS Spoofing Detection Based on Collaborative RAIM

Abstract

GNSS receiver autonomous integrity monitoring (RAIM) can be utilized in spoofing detection. It can detect a spoofing attack by checking the consistency between measurements of different signals when the measurements of authentic and spoofing signals are used together. However, when all the channels in the victim receiver are misled to track spoofing signals, the conventional RAIM will fail to detect the spoofing attack. In the paper, Collaborative RAIM (CRAIM) is proposed based on collaborative positioning. In collaborative positioning, both relative distances between receivers and pseudorange measurements are used in the navigation solutions. As the distances between receivers and the pseudo-range measurements are inconsistent in a spoofing scenario, the CRAIM can detect the spoofing attack. Simulations under three spoofing scenarios are performed. Results show that CRAIM can be implemented in spoofing detection in different spoofing scenarios.
