Lithium‐Ion Batteries: Postpatterned Electrodes for Flexible Node‐Type Lithium‐Ion Batteries (Adv. Mater. 11/2017)

Abstract

In article number 1605773, Jaephil Cho and co-workers demonstrate flexible node-type lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) with novel postpatterned electrodes. This unique electrode is prepared via a simple, one-step process. In addition, the selectively pressed grid pattern enables a high adhesion property of the electrode coating layers, resulting in enhanced cycle stability and rate capability. This study suggests that the flexible node-type LIB is suitable for highly deformable energy-storage devices.
