A multiuser vital sign monitoring system using ZigBee wireless sensor network

Abstract

This paper discussed one of ZigBee application as data transmission media for patient's vital sign monitoring. The ECG signal, heart rate, temperature, and blood pressure are taken from patient's body by the vital sign monitoring device (MGW830), and then raw data is sent serially by ZigBee to two computers as monitoring device wirelessly. Furthermore, the data can be accessed by other authorized parties via monitoring devices for the purpose of monitoring. By using this application, patient's vital sign can be seen remotely.
