An Energy-Pricing-Based Resource Allocation for Multi-source Multi-relay Multi-destination Cooperation OFDM Networks

Abstract

Resource allocation in cooperative networks is an efficient way to improve maximum attainable rate, to decrease power usage, and to prolong networks lifetime. In this paper, we study the lifetime maximization problem for multi-source multi-relay multi-destination cooperative orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM) networks with decode-and-forward protocol. It is a mixed-integer programming problem which is hard to resolve. We then proposed a suboptimal algorithm to get the solution based on dual method. In the first step, we search the optimal dual point by using iteratively sub-gradient method. In the second step, we perform relay selection, subcarrier pairing and power allocation for a give dual point. Extensive simulations are conducted to show the performances of the algorithm, in terms of networks lifetime and total sent data.
