A dual-polarity metasurfaces for focusing or diffusing reflection electromagnetic wave

Abstract

In recent years, metamaterials are obtained a lot of attentions, because of the materials with some special properties, such as negative index, tunable electric permittivity, artificial magnetism, and strong chirality. Particularly, transformation optics was introduced this filed, various functional devices were designed. Although a variety of functional devices on the theory and practice have been confirmed, they are far from being feasible in practical applications due to the disadvantages of nanofabrication processing technology which are quite complex, larger volume, and higher design costs.
