A Range-Based Distributed Localization Algorithm for Wireless Sensor Networks

Abstract

Aiming at the problem of the localization error and localization coverage rate of wireless sensor network nodes, a range-based distributed localization algorithm is proposed in this paper. The algorithm can reduce the localization error by introducing the confidence factor that makes the credibility as weights adding to the coordinate calculation of the unknown nodes. Simulation results show that this algorithm can effectively improve the positioning accuracy and promote localization coverage rate compared to classic Euclidean localization algorithm.
