Web usage mining using fuzzy association rule

Abstract

Identifying the association of web pages is important to enhance the user experience on web navigation by providing custom-defined services. Based on the behavior of user on the web, entries are made at logs of web servers and these entries are mined for modeling. Due to dynamic behavior of users, in the Web usage mining process, fuzzy association rules that have a temporal property extracts useful knowledge when associations occur. However, there is a problem with traditional temporal fuzzy association rule mining algorithms. This paper describes a solution using genetic algorithm that attempts to discover the rules occurring at the junction of fuzzy set boundaries.
