Performance analysis of destination-driven amplify-and-forward cooperative system over Rayleigh fading channel

Abstract

This paper proposes an amplify-and-forward cooperative system based on Destination-Driven for cooperative wireless networks. The BER (Bit Error Rate) of BPSK (Binary phase-shift Keying) and the outage probability for the proposed system are analyzed over independent and identically distributed (i.i.d) Rayleigh fading channels, and their closed-form expressions are derived. The theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the proposed system achieves a good tradeoff between the system performance and the processing complexity of the destination node, and is very helpful to reduce the power consumption of the cooperative system. Furthermore, the simulation results also agree well the analysis results at medium and high SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio) values.
