Performance analysis of cooperative transmission in multiple-access relay networks over Nakagami fading channels

Abstract

In this paper, we consider a cooperative transmission scheme in multiple-access relay networks. By analyzing the error decoding event (EDE) probability, we derive a bit error rate (BER) approximation of the scheme over Nakagami fading channels. Simulation results verify the validity of the theoretical analysis, and further show that the considered scheme outperforms the conventional coded cooperation (CC) scheme, especially at high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR).
