Ultra-wideband generation and detection of terahertz waveforms

Abstract

We present novel photoconductive (PC) switching geometries for the generation of both transmission-line-coupled and free-space terahertz (THz) waveforms. Insight is gained into the operation of these devices through time-resolved electro-optic sampling.
