Compatibility between devices using ultra-wideband technology and TD-SCDMA systems

Abstract

This paper analyzes UWB's influence on the coverage of TD-SCDMA cells. A distributional model of UWB is made firstly. Then the relationship between TD-SCDMA cell coverage and UWB transmit power and is obtained through computer simulation. It turns out that more base stations are needed when UWB devices are applied, but the summary of the transmitted power is all the same.
