Abstract

Department of Chemistry, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur-302 004, Rajasthan, India E-mail: [email protected] Manuscript received 12 December 2003, revised 3 April 2006, accepted 26 May 2006 2+2 Cyclocondensation of 3,4-hexanedione with 1,3-diaminopropane or 1,4-diaminobutane in the presence of CrIII, FeIII and CoIIas templates has yielded complexes of the types [ML(NO3)2]NO3 and [CoL(NO3)2] [where M = CrIII, FeIII and L = 2,3,9,10- tetruethyl-1,4,8,11-tetruazacyclotetrudcca-1,3,8,10-tctraene or 2,3,10,11-tctraethyl-1,4,9,12-tctraaza cyclohcxadeca-1,3,9,11·tetraene],These complexes have been characterized by elemental analyses, conductances, magnetic measurments, FAB mass, IR and electronic spectra.
