Enhanced Bio Inspired Multicast Routing for Delay Tolerant Networks

Abstract

Wireless networks are used in different fields and environments where they suffer from different kinds of end to end delay and frequent network partitions. Operational requirements of these networks are differently altered and their performance is affected heterogeneous by nature. These networks are known as Intermittently Connected Networks. Delay/Disruption Tolerant Networks (DTN) are emerging solutions to networks where the network suffers from frequent network partitions and long end to end delay. The Internet protocols which are already used are not suitable for the context of ICNs which will affect the performance parameters such as Delivery Ratio and Delay. One of the solutions to overcome the network partitioning is to use Bio Inspired Routing. In this paper, the performance of Bio Inspired Multicast protocol with DTN is discussed.
