Remote Sensing Tools for Site‐Specific Management

Abstract

Grid sampling to generate a map from which to make variable rate fertilizer applications assumes that nutrient availability is a major reason for yield variability. The post-mortem aspects of a yield map leave many questions unanswered about the causes of yield variability. Remote sensing techniques represent a variety of tools to help make site-specific management decisions.
