Abstract

In recent years, China’s rapid economic growth has allowed the country to secure a position as a G2 country in a number of fields such as politics, the military and diplomacy, allowing China to exercise a great deal of influence in the international arena. However, the country has numerous social issues to deal with internally. Among these issues, the problem of corruption in China is well known internationally. Thus, this study aims to identify the characteristics and problems that the anti-corruption campaign faces. In order toanalyze them properly, it was necessary to examine what kind of policy changes have been implemented against corruption by the top leadership of China. As a result, four typical characteristics and four problems were found in the process of the current anti-corruption campaign in China. Those are thoroughly illustrated in this paper.
