The electrodeposition of Zn-Al alloys was investigated using AlCl 3 -ZnCl 2 -dimethylsulfone (DMSO 2 ) molten electrolytes at 110{degree sign}C. The alminum contents of electrodeposites obtained at constant current densities between 30 and 100 mA/cm2 were ranged from 1 to 8 at%. With the decrease in ZnCl 2 concentrations of the electrolyte and with the increase in current densities, the intensity of the diffraction peaks of Zn decreased suggesting low crystallinity of zinc. Ectrodeposition was carried out at constant potentials from -0.8V to -1.5 V vs Zn in DMSO 2 / ZnCl 2 , on the basis of the cyclic voltammogram, and deposits with Al contents ranged from 1-90 at% were obtained.
