At present, More and more people and groups take RDF to describe Web resources, therefore, there is a great deal of RDF data on the Internet. The SPARQL query language is one of the latest additions to the Semantic Web toolbox. The RDF Query can be expressed a terse RDF triple languageTurtle, for Turtle data can be translated to SPARQL format easily. Then against SPARQL, the following points are discussed in detail: the applications of dataset, graph patterns, solution modifiers. In particular, the four query forms of SPARQL are elaborated. And the examples are described to show that the result sets of SPARQL can be serialized into either XML or an RDF graph.
