Abstract

Abstract Clean displacement of the cyclooctene in (115‐indenyl)bis(cyclooctene)‐Ir (II) prepared in good yield from Li indenide and the bis(cyclooctene)chloro‐Ir dimer results in the formation of (ns‐indenyl)bis(ligand)‐Ir complexes (I).
