To improve spectral efficiency and link reliability of a massive multiple-input multiple-output system, the downlink channel state information (CSI) should be fed back to the base station (BS). However, it is difficult to implement the feedback in practical applications due to the large number of antennas at the BS. We propose a compressive sensing-based method to reduce the feedback load without decreasing the reconstruction accuracy. By exploiting the correlation of CSI, a quasi-signal-independent dictionary is designed to improve the accuracy of the CSI reconstruction at the BS. The analysis and simulation results show that the proposed approach outperforms the conventional methods in terms of reconstruction accuracy and feedback load.
