Resource allocation in OFDMA-based wireless-powered cooperative sensor networks

Abstract

We investigate the joint resource allocation problem for both downlink and uplink transmissions in a wireless-powered sensor network. Cooperation among the sensor nodes is considered in the uplink to overcome the performance loss of the sensor nodes that are far from the access point. Since the joint optimization problem of power and subcarrier allocation and relay selection is mixed-integer nonlinear, we develop an efficient algorithm based on dual decomposition technique. Numerical results show the effectiveness of our proposed scheme and performance improvements over the benchmark schemes.
