Power and Efficiency Scaled Resonantly Cladding-Pumped Er-doped LMA Fiber Lasers

Abstract

Next step in power scaling of low quantum defect resonantly cladding-pumped Er-doped LMA fiber laser is reported. Over 88 W of single transverse mode power at 1590 nm was obtained with optical-to-optical efficiency of 69%.
