Abstract

Sarcomas are rare tumours of the connective tissues that account for less than 1% of all malignant tumours. Differentiating benign from possible malignant lesions is challenging and this uncertainty can result in delays in diagnosis and treatment. This article focuses on improving primary care awareness of the key clinical features of sarcoma and discusses which cases should be appropriately referred under the 2-week rule.
