Abstract

In Brief Facilitated device-to-device communication is in principle one potential advantage of having multiple devices communicating with the information technology network. This potential is generally said to arise from the ability to have direct and automatic control of one device based on specific circumstances of the patient and the status of each device. Although particular examples can be interesting, actually making this work on a large scale presents a number of complex challenges associated with defining and controlling these conversations.
