Abstract

The structure of the title compound, N,N,N′,N′-tetramethylethylenediammonium dichromate monohydrate, (C6H18N2)[Cr2O7].H2O, can be described as an alternate stacking of inorganic and organic layers parallel to the (010) plane. Structural cohesion is established by a three-dimensional network of N—H⋯O and O(water)—H⋯O hydrogen bonds.
