EO Raman-Nath spatial light modulator with 1024 pixels using cascaded periodically-poled three-stage gratings

Abstract

We propose and demonstrate a new type of electro-optic spatial light modulator consisting of cascaded periodically-poled Raman-Nath gratings. The modulator of 1024 pixels for practical application was designed through the beam propagation method simulation, and fabricated in MgO:LiNbO 3 . Good performances and a fine exposed pattern sufficient for practical use were obtained.
