Abstract

Thermoreflectance measurements have been performed on Cd 3−x Zn x As 2 alloys mostly at room temperature. The most important of the observed transitions are E 1 and E 1 + Δ 1 whose energies agree with the reflectivity results of Sobolev et al. and the calculations of Lin-Chung for Cd 3 As 2 (x = 0). As for Zn 3 As 2 (.x = 3), the energy of these transitions lie between those reported by these two authors. A discontinuity appears in the variation of E 1 and E 1 + Δ 1 as a function of x.
