Velocity factor of leaky-wave antenna based on partially filled slitted rectangular waveguide

Abstract

A leaky-wave antenna based on a partially filled rectangular waveguide with long slit on narrow wall is investigated. Velocity factor dependencies for different slit widths are presented. Also, dielectric layer thickness variations are considered. The influence of protective cover thickness and the dielectric layer position inside the waveguide on the antenna performance is estimated. Radiation characteristics are presented.
