Abstract

In this work, an enzyme free glucose sensor at neutral pH (7.4) has been developed based on micro-nano dualporous (MNDP) gold modified screen printed carbon electrode (SPCE). The sensor was constructed on three-electrode system, which is cheap, flexible and mass producible. This was an enzyme free glucose sensor and compact compared with previous ones, which were required alkaline medium [1] or constructed on gold, platinum surface [2]. Thus they become complicated measurement set-up and may limit their application in practical uses. Our sensor exhibits highly sensitive and selective in detection of glucose in neutral pH solution with low glucose oxidation potential, -0.2V.
