Single Phase-Shifted Fiber Bragg Grating as an All-Optical Hilbert Transformer

Abstract

We propose and numerically demonstrate a simple all-optical Hilbert transformer design based on a specially-apodized fiber Bragg grating (FBG) with a single π phase shift, providing operation bandwidths up to a few hundreds of GHz.
