Image coding using biorthogonal Wavelet Transform

Abstract

A method for image coding employing the Wavelet Transform is proposed. A coder on the Wavelet domain that attempts to minimize visible distortion is developed. The performance of the proposed method is evaluated by means of simulations on several images.
