On page 4681, Y.-J. Pu, J. Kido, and T. Chiba describe solution processed white-phosphorescent tandem organic light-emitting devices (OLEDs) comprising two light-emitting units (LEUs) with small-molecule phosphorescent emitters, small-molecule host materials, and a polymer material as a binder improving the insolubility of the LEU films. These devices exhibit extremely high efficiencies with a current efficiency of 61 cd A−1 and an external quantum efficiency of 28% at 5000 cd m−2.
