Capacity bounds for correlated Rician MIMO channels

Abstract

In this paper we derive tight upper and lower bounds on the MIMO capacity in correlated Rician fading channels. We assume that the receiver has perfect knowledge of the channel, and the transmitter has no knowledge (instantaneous or statistical). We examine two common power normalization models, and show how the capacity changes with Rician K-factor and with the amount of correlation.
