Abstract

Parents can provide experiences for their children that will make those first crucial school years a happier time for everyone. As a professional concerned with the cognitive growth of young children, you, the nursery-school teacher, can do much to sensitize parents to the ways they can help foster their children's cognitive growth in the years preceding format school instruction.
