Abstract

This paper concerns the use of adaptive arrays in mobile communication for reducing cochannel interference, thereby increasing the channel capacity. Methods for optimal combining the antenna outputs are discussed. An improved algorithm for the adaptive arrays is proposed. A preliminary simulation study is presented.
