On the stability of frequency-hop packet radio networks with coding and retransmission backoff

Abstract

This paper discusses the stability problem in frequency-hopping (FH) networks. This paper proposes a retransmission strategy to resolve the traffic congestion and error control coding to increase the success probability of packet transmission. This paper suggest that, in order to construct a stable network with maximum throughput, good error control method and retransmission backoff policy are both necessary.
