Femtosecond Laser-Induced Periodic Surface Structures on Tungsten

Abstract

We generate periodic surface structures on tungsten at various laser wavelengths, despite that the table values of the dielectric constants indicate the absence of surface plasmons, a wave necessary for forming periodic structures on metals.
