Abstract

The magneto-ionic theory for the case of drifting plasma with constant drift velocity \bar{\upsilon}_{0} is developed. The refractive index n is shown to be the solution of an algebraic equation of the sixth order. In several particular cases the algebraic equation is solved explicitly.
