QoS aware web service composition based on genetic algorithm

Abstract

In recent years, the number of web services has proliferated; consequently the number of web services that offer the same services have been increased. The differences between same web services are quality parameters. Quality of service in web services consists of various non-functional factors such as execution cost, execution time, availability, successful execution rate, and security. Also clients usually demand more value added services rather than those offered by single web services. Therefore, selecting a composition plan of web services among numerous plans that their quality satisfies client requirements had become and important issue. In this paper the problem is formulated as an optimization problem. We propose a composition plan optimizer based on genetic algorithm. The experiments results show the effectiveness of this method.
