Capacity analysis for MIMO two-hop two-relay amplify-and-forward relaying systems

Abstract

This paper presents an ergodic capacity analysis of \nan amplify-and-forward (AF) multiple-input, multipleoutput \n(MIMO) two-hop, two relay system. We first \nderive an expression for the probability density function \nof an arbitrary eigenvalue of the system. Then, \nusing this result, a closed form expression for the ergodic \ncapacity of the system is derived. We present \nsimulation results to validate our analysis. We also \nshow that the results for a single relay system can be \nobtained as a special case.
