Image transmission over flat fading channels using joint source channel coding

Abstract

Summary form only given. By using nonlinear dimensional-changing mappings, a robust image transmission system for fading channels has been developed. Using robust mappings and adapting the protection of source samples results in a system that can transmit an image over a flat fading channel with a certain quality regardless of the channel variations
