Low-complexity iterative multiuser detector for time-hopping impulse-radio systems

Abstract

As a best-known form of ultrawideband communications, impulse radio has a simple implementation. In this paper, we consider a multiuser time-hopping impulse radio (TH-IR) system. An iterative multiuser detection algorithm for TH-IR systems is proposed. Compared with the existing iterative detector, it has a lower complexity. Simulation results demonstrate that no performance degradation is paid for the saving in complexity.
