Two-stage nonblocking bidirectional switch networks

Abstract

Two-stage switch networks comprising inlet/outlet and distribution stages for connection within one group of terminals are examined assuming rearrangement. New minima derived for distribution stages required to avoid blocking are 3n/2 for n even and (3n−1)/2 for n odd, where n is the extent of each inlet matrix.
