Mode-locked Thulium-doped fiber laser with carbon nanotube saturable absorber

Abstract

We report mode-locking of an all-fiber thulium/holmium (Tm/Ho) co-doped laser with a saturable absorber based on a fiber taper embedded in carbon nanotube/polymer composite (FTCNTPC). 750fs soliton pulses are generated at wavelength around 1890nm.
