Bootstrap confidence intervals for predicted rainfall quantiles

Year: 2001 Journal:   International Journal of Climatology Vol: 21 (1)Pages: 89-94   Publisher: Wiley

Abstract

Abstract Rainfall probability charts have been used to quantify the effect of the Southern Oscillation Index (SOI) on rainfall for many years. To better understand the effect of the SOI phases, we discuss forming confidence intervals on the predicted rainfall quantiles using percentile bootstrap methods.
