Guaranteed cost control for uncertain time-delay singular systems

Abstract

A guaranteed cost control problem for a class of time-delay singular systems with norm-bounded uncertainties is considered. For the robust performance analysis, we adopt an appropriate notion of robust stability for uncertain time-delay singular systems and show that this notion guarantees an upper bound on a linear quadratic cost function. At the meantime, attention is focused on the design of memoryless state feedback controllers such that the resulting closed-loop system is asymptotically stable and an adequate level of performance is also guaranteed. The developed results are expressed in terms of algebraic matrix inequalities. A numerical example is presented to illustrate the theory.
