Dynamically clustering based cooperative spectrum sensing with STBC scheme

Abstract

Cooperative spectrum sensing is investigated to provide higher detection accuracy in cognitive radio networks (CRN). To solve performance deterioration when the reporting channels become worse, a relay diversity technique is applied by selecting two adjacent cognitive users as a distributed antenna array. Since the inter-user channel is variable for fading, the fixed grouping scheme reduces the system performance. In this paper, we propose a dynamic clustering scheme to improve the sensing performance. It makes good use of the inter-channel information and dynamically selects the users to form the clusters. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme has better sensing performance.
