Investigation on intrinsic Gilbert damping constant in Co/sub 2/MnAl Heusler alloy films

Abstract

In this work, Gilbert damping for Co/sub 2/MnAl Heusler alloy films fabricated under various fabrication conditions was investigated. The films were grown by magnetron sputtering under 0.1 Pa Ar pressure. Film structure was analyzed by X-ray diffraction with Cu K/spl alpha/ radiation. Temperature dependence of saturation magnetization, coercivity and ferromagnetic resonance were also measured.
