Frequency Agile Switched Beam Antenna Array System

Abstract

A dual frequency reconfigurable antenna array and its associated phase shifter are presented. The system is capable of operation at two independent frequencies (4.7 GHz and 7.5 GHz) while switching between four different radiation patterns pointing at different spatial locations for each frequency. The reconfigurability is achieved by using high performance PIN diodes acting as microwave switches.
