ACETHYLFERROCENE-2-THENOYLHYDRAZONE COMPLEXES WITH TRANSITION METAL IONS

Abstract

Abstract Complexes of acetylferrocene-2-thenoylhydrazone with Cu(II), Ni(II), Co(II) and Hg(II) have been prepared and characterized by elemental analyses, IR, NMR, electronic spectra, ESR, molar conductivity and thermal analyses. All results show that the ligand coordinates to the metal ion through the enolic oxygen and the azomethine nitrogen atoms as a bidentate donor.
